Speaker Idol

I may be going mad, but I've volunteered to do 5-minute presentation in front of several hundred people at the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 launch event at Birmingham ICC on 19th March, in a "speaker idol"-type contest featuring amateur speakers from the developer community.

I have been using the Express editions of Visual Studio 2008 for a few months, but have not explored many of the new features. I have a couple of ideas in mind, one based on the Observer pattern nugget I did at NxtGenUG last month and another based on the Visual Basic Power Packs, which is top secret at the moment.

Observer Nugget Part 2

My Observer Pattern presentation that I delivered two weeks ago went down so well that I'm going to be doing it again next month at NxtGenUG Birmingham. I may also deliver the same session during the Heroes Happen Here launch event for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008, in a "speaker idol"-type competition.
